• Delft University of Technology Road and Railroad Laboratory: The Dutch research centre for pavement engineering, and operator of the LINTRACK pavement testing machine.
• IFSTTAR: The premier French pavement research centre.
• NCAT (The National Center for Asphalt Technology) at Auburn University, Alabama, USA: The US centre for asphaltic materials research.
• Pavement Research Center at the University of California, Davis, USA: A centre with a long history of pavement research and currently concentrating on accelerated pavement loading.

• Britpave: The UK concrete pavements industry organisation. It's interests extend from surfacing to soil stabilisation.

• The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT): The UK's specialist professional organisation for transport infrastructure and operation.
• Eurobitume: The European Bitumen Association.
• The European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA)
• Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE): The UK's premier engineering professional organisation.
• The International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA): Provides comprehensive descriptions of slurry seals and mirco surfacing. The ISSA produces many technical reference documents and has an on-line publications list and on-line ordering.
• The International Society for Asphalt Pavements (ISAP): The leading flexible pavement organisation, internationally. It is particularly well known for the series of "Ann Arbor" conferences. The Eleventh Asphalt Pavement Design Conference took place in Nagoya, Japan in August 2010.
• The Mineral Products Association (MPA): The UK quarry industry's trade organisation. It is engaged in both asphalt and unbound aggregate matters.
• National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA): The US paving contractor's industry organisation.
• The Portland Cement Association (PCA): This US site has extensive on-line resources applicable to any concrete construction.
• The Transportation Research Board (TRB): US-based organisation with links to the extensive publication activity; it supports and links to abstracts covering asphalt mix design and segregation.

• Infrastructure Technology Institute: Maintains a resource centre for publications related to concrete pavements .
• The International Journal of Pavement Engineering (IJPE): The founder editor of this journal was Andrew Dawson.
• Journal of Road Materials and Pavement Design: International Journal.
• Pavement-Transportation Computer Assisted Structural Engineering (PCASE): Distribution site for free airfield, road, railroad, and general transportation, design and evaluation software written by US Army Corps of Engineers.
